Established 1936 as the Auxiliary for Occupational Therapy in Mental Hospitals of South Australia to help patients in Parkside and Northfield (subsequently Hillcrest) Hospitals. Changed name to Auxiliary for Psychiatric Hospitals in South Australia, 1965. Wound up in 1977.
